This was the perfect little getaway spot that we were looking for. After a bustling visit in Boston, we so appreciated this quiet cozy home on the water in Acton, Maine. My kids were thrilled to venture out in the kayaks and paddle boards provided at the house. It was so peaceful and the sunset was beautiful. The home was just as described, clean, cozy and functional. So many gathering places inside and outside. Kitchen was stocked with all the cups, plates, silverware, pans that we needed. Beds were comfortable and fans were available to use in both bedrooms. The views of the lake from the house were so lovely, it was just what we were hoping for. And most of all, the host was so friendly and responsive. We hope to visit again in the future!

Our family traveled to Maine for our niece's wedding in York, ME. We selected the Wells area so we were closer to S. Portland (where our grandparents used to live), Portland Headlight, Two Lights State Park and lobster shack in Cape Elizabeth, proximity to Ogunquit Beach, the wedding venue in York, etc.
The house was VERY clean, had everything we needed for our 8 night stay, Amy was very responsive when contacted. We truly enjoyed playing games and building puzzles at night on the long kitchen table! Having 2 full size refrigerators with one having an ice maker was perfect! Lots of windows on all side to get great airflow throughout the home. We loved the 3 couches and chair in the family room to gather to watch football, movies, etc.

Although we only stayed for 4 nights, it was fun and relaxing. The house was clean and the location was near many fun activities. It was a pleasant stay. Would definitely come back again.

What a wonderful place to be for our family vacation! So peaceful being at the lake, my two young children loved swimming in the water! The house was beautiful, just what we were looking for! Amy was a great host, very responsive to messages and accommodating! We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay! The house is clean and beautifully decorated. The location is very convenient to both Wells and Ogunquit. We were a short drive from our favorite beaches and restaurants. The hosts were responsive and very easy to work with. We would definitely stay again!

Had a great family stay at the Lake House with two small children (2&4). Really nice layout of the house, plenty of sitting areas, and a beautiful sandy beach for us the play in the lake all day. The lake was really shallow by the beach/docks so easily swim able for everyone. Host super responsive and kind.

It was one of the best trips I have ever taken . Amy and Ned were super friendly- Amy even drove up to us at night to check on a slight problem the refrigerator was giving. The house was breathtaking and I would 1000000% go back and choose the same place! Thank you guys so much!!

Our family enjoyed the Sunshine Shack so much! We contacted Amy as a last minute option to avoid some snow in New Hampshire on our east coast trip over Thanksgiving. She was so accommodating and we couldn't have been more pleased! Such a quiet, cozy, clean place with beautiful views!!
We would love to come back and highly recommend!
