The Relax Shack is filled with thoughtful details and designed for comfort, featuring soothing coastal colors throughout. Our Moody beach house is the ideal place to begin and end your sun-soaked, salty days on vacation, offering a serene escape. With ample space for larger groups, it's also perfect for two small families. Good to know
We have four bedrooms and sleeps 10 comfortably. (Second floor Queen bed master with a little twin bed kids corner attached for a young child, another Queen bed room, a twin bed over full bed bunk room, a room with 2 full beds and then 1 pull out sofa in the living room, if needed). There is one full bathroom with tub/shower combo and two en suite bathrooms with showers and double vanities. Our spacious kitchen is bright and fully equipped with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and an island with seating. The dining area comfortably accommodates 10, perfect for gathering with your group. The generous TV/living room features a 55” smart TV, three sofas, and a cozy chair, offering plenty of space for everyone to gather around the mini gas fireplace (or A/C) and unwind after a long, salty day or during a rainy afternoon. Adjacent to the kitchen, you'll find a cozy conversation nook with club chairs and a second mini gas fireplace, creating the perfect spot for intimate chats. No matter the weather, we’ve got your comfort covered with a brand-new mini-split heating and cooling system. Outside, we offer two private and inviting seating areas. One, just off the main kitchen, features a BBQ, seating for everyone, an oyster shell bar, and a mechanical awning to provide shade in the afternoon and evening. The other, near the kitchenette, is a sunny spot with Adirondack chairs and a double lounger, ideal for relaxing, napping, or enjoying a quiet evening conversation or marshmallow roast by the firepit, away from those calling it an early night. Our spacious backyard is perfect for tossing a frisbee, playing croquet, or enjoying a friendly game of cornhole.

Please bring your own beach chairs, boogie boards, and bikes to ensure you have everything you need. Our RELAX Shack is conveniently located near the Ogunquit/Wells town line, with both towns offering a wide range of activities for guests of all ages and interests. Accessibility and Availability
Neighborhood
Our cottage is located on a corner lot, in a perfectly quiet and safe coastal neighborhood and is only a 10 minute walk to sandy Moody/Ogunquit Beach! After a day at the beach guests love coming back home, RELAXing a bit, and then being able to walk to dinner or ice cream or mini golf. There are several eateries and attractions less than a 10 minute walk from us. (Please see photos). We are even lucky enough to be able to walk to the only trolley stop where we can choose to either go south on the Ogunquit line or north on the line that goes to Wells and the Kennebunks.

The trolley stop is a short walk from the cottage. If you want to avoid parking and explore other beaches in Ogunquit and Wells. You can take all of your beach accessories aboard. The trolley system can get you as far north as Kennebunk all the way down to York, Maine. However, we use it mostly to travel around Wells and Ogunquit. There is parking at the beaches as well. Depending on the situation, guests will sometimes drive down, let everyone out, then one will bring the car back and walk back down. The Trolleys did not run in 2020 due to covid. We do hope they run this year. They are a fun and unique way to see the area.
